ABOUT
Dalton
Kramer
There are communities all over America with their own histories, their own values, their own way of measuring what matters. Many of these stories never get documented. That's the gap I'm trying to close.

Modern Cowboy - Ongoing Project
Documentation of contemporary rodeo culture in America. Exploring the ways culture surives through identity, compete, and inheritance.
I was born Deaf and raised in a Deaf family, deeply involved in the Deaf community, primarily communicating through American Sign Language. My experience made me an observer. I'm drawn to subcultures and people whose stories are ones where belonging means something. I focus on real environments and unstaged moments, preserving stories as they are lived and told.
I'm building a body of work that reflects the full diversity of communities across America preserved in exhibitions, publications, and archives. I’m always looking for the next community willing to let me in.
